A passion for cultivation within the Yakima Valley for three generations

Agriculture has been a passion in the Kitzke family for three generations. The love of farming lead us to plant a small vineyard of Bordeaux varietals on Candy Mountain in 2000. From there our first vintage was made in 2005, and our love for viticulture continued to grow. In 2016, our son, Seth took over the winemaking duties after working in vineyards since the beginning. Passionate about the land and unique terroir here on Candy Ridge, our goal is to showcase Candy Mountain for what it truly is: unique, balanced, and structured. For the last 20 years we have listened to the vineyard and in 2016 we pride ourselves in going herbicide free. We are committed to the land here and as our vines age sustainable farming is of utmost importance. Being true to place by expressing our soil differences through minimal intervention winemaking techniques is what we believe delivers a transparent distinctive wine from Washington State.

Due to our small vineyard many of Kitzke Cellars Wines are limited in quantity. Our wine club will always get first go before our mailing list and tasting room. Please contact us in regards to club availability or a private tasting.
