Light Bites & Paired Pours

Wine brings people together. This season we highlight three local vineyards and the wine-making couples behind the labels. Available daily starting April 15th, enjoy samples from Purple Star, Hightower Cellars, and Frichette Winery, paired perfectly with appetizers from our new spring menu. 1 1/2 oz. pour each of three varietals, and three paired appetizers, $40 per person.

When a coin flip brought Shae and Greg Frichette back to Greg’s hometown of Pasco, WA, they found their true calling in Red Mountain wine. Their 2019 Artz Semillon is a pure varietal with powdered sugar and pear on the nose, green apple on the palate and a touch of powdered sugar on the finish. Known as their ‘white wine for red wine drinkers’, it pairs perfectly with our Washington Meat & Cheeses.

Proprietors Kyle and Amy Johnson started Purple Star with a vision of accessible, approachable wine from
our state’s finest appellations. Their Syrah embodies this perfectly, with aromas of blackberry, plum and smoke leading to black raspberry and pepper, followed by a moderate acid structure and fine-grained tannins. 90 Points from Wine Spectator, it blossoms when paired with our Prawn Picatta.

Tim and Kelly Hightower let their Red Mountain wine speak for itself with their gentle techniques and a gift for blending. Their 2017 Merlot features Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, with blackberry, dark cherry and a
hint of cedar leading to a full palate of dark fruits and blackberry pie. A local journalist described this blend as ‘magic’ and we agree, especially when paired with our Pimento Cheese Fondue.
